Cheap flights from Zanzibar to Krakow

December is the cheapest month on this route, and the price calendar shows fares for September through March as well as July, so you can compare the whole window before committing. Book the December days around Christmas and New Year early, because they fill up long before the rest of the month. July, when European schools are out, is the other stretch worth planning ahead for. Midweek departures from Kisauni are usually quieter and price better than weekend ones, and shifting your trip by a day or two often matters more than changing the month.

No airline flies Zanzibar to Krakow non-stop, so every itinerary here involves at least one connection. The airline mix runs from Gulf carriers such as Oman Air and Fly Dubai to European full-service names like Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian and Brussels Airlines, with leisure operators Neos Air, Edelweiss Air and Eurowings Discover covering the busier holiday months. Flexflight also appears on some routings. Baggage rules differ sharply between them, so check what each fare includes before comparing totals — a low-cost ticket can end up costing more once a checked bag is added. Where a connection is involved, confirm whether both legs sit on a single ticket.

You land at Balice, the airport that serves Krakow, a short ride from the city centre. A local train and bus routes link the airport with the main station, and taxis or ride-hailing apps are the simplest option for a late arrival. The terminal is compact, so passport control and baggage reclaim tend to move quickly outside the peak holiday waves. Use the marked taxi rank rather than drivers who approach you in the arrivals hall, and if you are changing planes en route, allow enough time to clear immigration before your onward leg.

• Confirm that both legs of your connection sit on one ticket, or leave a generous gap if you booked them separately.
• Check the baggage allowance on each fare, since low-cost and leisure carriers often charge separately for a checked bag.
• Make sure your passport is valid well beyond your travel dates and check the current entry rules for Poland.
• Look at the price calendar before fixing dates, because December is the cheapest month but the festive days go fast.
• Allow time for transit rules at your connecting airport if the route passes through the Gulf.
