Cheap flights from Wroclaw to Yerevan

November is the cheapest month on this route, and it is the one to aim for if your dates are flexible. Fares are listed from September through July, so you can watch the price move across autumn, winter and spring before you commit. Summer and the New Year period are the busiest, when Armenian families fly home and European travellers head out, so book those trips early. Midweek departures usually cost less than weekend ones on connecting itineraries, and leaving a little slack around public holidays in Poland and Armenia saves trouble.

Ten carriers appear on this route, and they split into two groups. Wizz Air and Transavia France are the low-cost names, so check what your fare includes and price your bags before you pay. Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss, Scandinavian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Air Dolomiti and Helvetic Airways are the full-service carriers, and their tickets are more often sold as one through fare. Because nothing flies nonstop, every option means a change of plane, and the airport where you change matters as much as the price you pay.

You land at Zvartnots Intl, the airport that serves Yerevan and the rest of Armenia. It sits outside the city rather than in it, so plan a transfer for the last stretch instead of expecting to walk into the centre. Taxis, shared shuttles and buses run into town, and a pre-booked transfer is the calmest choice if you arrive after dark. Agree the fare or use a metered app before you get in, and keep a little local currency for the ride. Late arrivals are common on connecting itineraries, so check that your transfer still runs at that hour.

Country facts: Wikidata

• Wroclaw flies from Strachowice only, so there is no second airport to confuse it with, but check your terminal and leave time for the city transfer.
• On Wizz Air and Transavia France, see what the fare includes and price your bags before you pay.
• If you book the legs separately, a missed connection is yours to fix, while a single ticket keeps you covered.
• Check Armenia's entry rules and your passport validity well before departure.
• November is the cheapest month, so shift your dates there if price matters more to you than weather.
• Leave a comfortable gap between flights at your connecting airport, especially in winter.
