Cheap flights from Tromso to Munich

Book as early as you can for December and for school-holiday dates, because the cheapest month on this route can still sell out on the days people want. November, January and February are calmer in the calendar than July and August, and midweek departures often cost less than weekend ones, though you should check the dated fares rather than assume. Around Christmas and Easter, both Tromso and Munich attract leisure travellers, so compare connection times as well as prices.

Base fares on this route can look cheap until bags, seats and meals are added, so start with the fare conditions rather than the headline price. Norwegian International, Norwegian, Scandinavian Airlines, Air France, Lufthansa, Finnair, Easyjet, Nordic Regional Airlines, Eurowings and Aer Lingus all appear in the results, with direct flights available and connecting options showing their transfer airport before payment. Some carriers sell a basic fare with paid extras, while others include more in the ticket, so check cabin bags, checked bags, seat selection and flexibility on every option.

From Munich International, S-Bahn trains, airport buses and taxis all run into the city, and the rail link is usually convenient for most travellers. The airport is outside Munich's centre, so allow transfer time before a meeting or onward train, and check which terminal your flight uses because walking distances can be long. In winter, leave extra margin for de-icing and rail disruption, and keep your onward ticket flexible if you can.
