Cheap flights to Malta
Luqa is Malta's airport for arrivals, and the routes that feed it run from cities such as Warsaw, Budapest and Krakow; cheap flights to Malta make most sense once you compare those airport pairs. Jet2, Malta Airlines, Mokulele Flight Service, Ryanair, Vueling Airlines, Wizz Air, Wizz Air Malta and Wizz Air UK are among the carriers you may see. The cheapest seats tend to go early in the week or well before school holidays and the height of summer, so book ahead, check both the outbound and return days, and use the price calendar to see how a midweek departure changes the fare.
Flights to Malta — where from
Airports — Malta
Before you land, decide how you will get from Luqa into central Malta, because every arrival uses that one airport; buses, taxis and car hire are the usual onward choices, and sorting it out early saves time on a busy day.
When to go
Away from school holidays and the height of summer, Malta is quieter and flights are easier to compare; winter days are mild, spring and autumn suit sightseeing, and the sea is warmest in summer. Christmas and the main holiday periods fill planes, so book early if your dates are fixed.
