Cheap flights from Terceira to Zurich
The route from Lajes to Zurich is a connecting journey, not a nonstop flight, so compare total travel time as well as the fare. Cheap flights from Terceira to Zurich come down to which connection you choose, and the carrier mix on this route means baggage and transfer rules can differ from one itinerary to another. Check whether one ticket covers the whole journey before you pay, because separate tickets put the connection risk on you.

Airlines and what to expect
The difference you feel is between a single ticket and a stitched-together journey: one booking usually means bags are checked through and missed connections are handled for you, while separate tickets leave the risk with you. TAP Portugal, SATA Azores Airlines, SATA Air Acores, Portug and United Airlines are the carriers named for this route, and all itineraries connect, so compare stops, operating carrier and what each fare includes before you book.
Arriving — Zurich
Zurich airport is large enough that walking, queues and transfers can take time, so allow a buffer and follow signs to rail or tram links into the city rather than rushing. If you land late, check the last services before you leave the terminal, and remember that Lajes is a smaller airport, so allow time for check-in and security on the way home.
