Cheap flights from Shannon to Krakow

November is the cheapest month on this route, and the fares shown here for September, October, December, January, March and April tell you how the rest of the year sits around it. Autumn and early winter are quiet outside the Christmas run-up, when Krakow fills up and seats get tighter. Late spring brings milder weather and busier planes. If your dates can move, compare a couple of weeks either side of your first choice before you commit.

Ryanair is the low-cost name on this city pair, so expect a stripped-back fare with the extras priced separately. Aer Lingus flies it as a full-service carrier, and Eurowings Discover and United Airlines also appear on the route. The biggest difference between them is baggage: what a low-cost ticket covers is usually less than what a full-service fare folds in. Read the fare rules before you compare totals, and check whether a connection is sold as one ticket or as two separate bookings.

You land at Balice, the airport serving Krakow, which sits outside the city rather than in the middle of it. A train link and bus routes run between the terminal and the centre, and taxis and ride-hailing cars wait outside arrivals. Roads slow down on winter evenings, so build in a little slack on the way back. If you arrive late at night, arrange your transfer before you fly instead of sorting it at the kerb.
