Cheap flights from Poznan to Dallas

April is the cheapest month for this route, and the price calendar also shows fares for September, October, November, December, February and May. Late spring and early autumn tend to be the calmest windows, while the weeks around Thanksgiving in the United States and the Christmas season are the busiest and priciest. Midweek departures from Lawica usually cost less than weekend ones, and Tuesday and Wednesday flights often have the widest choice of connections. Book a few months ahead for spring and autumn travel, and watch the calendar for April fares if your dates are flexible.

No airline flies Poznan to Dallas nonstop, so every option is a connecting itinerary. The carriers on this route are full-service and regional rather than low-cost: LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Air Dolomiti, Helvetic Airways and Braathens Regional Aviation. LOT and Lufthansa often handle the European leg out of Lawica, while Delta, United and KLM tend to appear on the transatlantic stretch. What you get included depends on the fare you choose, so compare the baggage rules for each leg before you pay.

Dallas has two airports, and your ticket will name one of them. Dallas Ft Worth is the larger international gateway and sits farther from the city centre, with a train line and shuttle buses linking it to downtown. Love Field is closer in and mostly serves domestic routes, so if you land there you can reach the centre by taxi or rideshare in a short ride. Check the airport code on your booking before you travel, because the two are on opposite sides of the metro area and a mix-up means a long transfer.

Country facts: Wikidata

• Check that your departure airport is Lawica, since Poznan has only one airport.
• Confirm whether your connection is on a single ticket or two separate ones, because separate tickets mean you recheck bags and carry the risk of a missed link.
• Look at the baggage allowance for each leg, as the European feeder flight and the transatlantic flight may differ.
• Make sure you have a valid passport and the right US entry document before you book.
• Compare fares for April, the cheapest month, against the other months that show prices.
• Allow enough time between flights, since you are connecting and not flying nonstop.
