Cheap flights from Porto Alegre to Sao Paulo

February is the month with the lowest fares on this route. The rest of the year rises around school holidays and the southern-hemisphere summer, so December, January and July are the months to book early; midweek departures are often the better value, while weekend flights can cost more. Dated fares are shown for all twelve months, so you can compare a specific week instead of guessing. If your dates are fixed, check the price calendar before you choose a flight.

The difference you feel is between a nonstop flight and one with a connection, and between landing at Congonhas, Guarulhos International or Viracopos. Azul, LATAM Airlines, GOL Linhas Aereas S.A., Lanperu, Latam Airlines Brasil, Avianca and Aerolineas Argentinas all appear on this route, and direct flights are available. Because carriers and fares differ in what they include, check baggage, seats and change rules before you pay. A connection can add time and a second airport, while a nonstop flight keeps the trip short.

Arriving late in the day changes the transfer: fewer public transport options, longer taxi queues, and a later check-in. Congonhas sits inside Sao Paulo, Guarulhos International is the main airport farther out, and Viracopos is the farthest of the three. Airport buses, taxis and ride services link all three to the city, but journey times vary. Check the airport code on your ticket before you set off, because the three are not interchangeable.
