Cheap flights from Nuremberg to Istanbul

The weeks immediately before and after June are the natural shoulder period, and June itself is the cheapest month shown for this route. All twelve months carry fares, so you can compare a winter city break with a summer trip without guessing. School holidays, Christmas and the destination's summer can all affect availability, so midweek departures and returns are worth checking. If your dates are flexible, look at the days around a weekend rather than the weekend itself, because short breaks and holiday weeks concentrate demand on a few days.

The carriers on this route are Pegasus, Ajet, Wizz Air Malta, Air Serbia, Sun Express, Turkish Airlines, Wizz Air, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, HOP! and Lufthansa. Direct flights are available, but not every airline or date offers one, so many itineraries connect somewhere else. The real difference is what the fare includes: one ticket may cover a bag and a seat, while another charges for both and for changes. Check baggage, seat selection, flexibility and whether the whole journey is on one ticket before you compare prices.

Arrange your onward transport before you land, because the ticket can name either Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gokcen and they are on different sides of the city. Both airports sit well outside the centre, so allow time for the transfer and check which bus, rail or taxi option runs at your arrival hour. Watch the airport code, the total journey to your hotel and any late arrival, since a cheap fare loses its value if the transfer is long or expensive.
