Cheap flights from Newcastle to Barcelona

November tends to offer the lowest fares if your dates are flexible. The shoulder seasons of April, May and September also see reasonable prices before summer demand pushes costs up. Book a few weeks ahead for weekday departures, but allow more time during school holidays or around Christmas when seats fill quickly. Tuesday and Wednesday flights often come in cheaper than weekend options.

Several airlines connect passengers on this route through various hubs. KLM Cityhopper and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines route travelers via Amsterdam. British Airways may offer connections from London airports. Easyjet and EasyJet Europe provide point-to-point service without transfers. Norwegian International, Jet2, Aer Lingus, Loganair Limited and Eurowings also serve the corridor with different routing options depending on schedule.

Plan your ground transport before landing at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona - El Prat airport. It sits about twelve kilometres from the city centre with metro, bus and taxi connections to downtown. The metro runs frequently between stations while taxis queue outside arrivals. Allow extra time if you are arriving during peak hours or when flights cluster in the evening.
