Cheap flights from Manchester to Poznan

Fares dip around the shoulder weeks on either side of January, which is the cheapest month on this route in the calendar shown here. The priced months run from October through to July, so you can see how the school holidays and the destination's summer push tickets up. Midweek departures tend to sit below weekend ones, and the Christmas stretch is worth booking early.

Ryanair UK and Ryanair matter most here, since the low-cost model keeps base fares down but charges for checked baggage and seat choice. Easyjet works the same way. The connecting options are KLM Cityhopper, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City Airlines, Air Baltic, Cityjet, British Airways and LOT Polish Airlines, where the fare usually includes baggage and the connection is sold as one ticket. What is included differs sharply between the two groups, so weigh the total, not the headline price.

If your connection lands you at Poznan-Lawica late in the day, check the last departures of onward transport before you book, because options thin out towards the evening. The airport sits close enough to the city that the trip into town stays short by local standards. Taxis and app-based rides meet arrivals, and public transport links the airport with the centre on a regular schedule. Have the address of your accommodation written in Polish for the driver.

Country facts: Wikidata

• Check whether your connection is on one ticket or two, because separate tickets leave you unprotected if the first flight is late.
• Compare baggage rules between the low-cost carriers and the full-service ones before judging which fare is cheaper.
• Confirm your departure from Manchester International, since the city's airport choices matter on other routes.
• Check passport and entry requirements for Poland before you pay.
• Look at how the fare moves across October to July, not just a single date.
