Cheap flights from Lublin to Amsterdam

November is the cheapest month for this route, and the price calendar usually shows the dip clearly against September and October, when late-summer demand is still around. December and January fill up again with Christmas and New Year travel, and March brings the first spring rush. Midweek departures, Tuesday to Thursday, tend to be calmer than Friday and Sunday, when weekend trips overlap. Book a few weeks ahead for November, and watch the calendar if your dates are fixed around the holidays.

Two carriers show up on this route: Wizz Air UK, a low-cost airline, and LOT Polish Airlines, the Polish flag carrier. Neither flies Lublin to Amsterdam non-stop, so both sell you a connection, usually through a hub, and the total journey time depends on how long you wait between flights. The difference that matters at checkout is what the fare includes. Low-cost fares keep the base price down by charging separately for bags and seat selection; full-service fares often bundle more, but the rules differ by fare family, so read what is included before you compare totals. Check whether both legs sit on one ticket, and where the change happens.

You land at Schiphol, the airport for Amsterdam and the country's main gateway. The terminal sits well outside the city, but the train station is right underneath it, with frequent services to Amsterdam Centraal and a journey that takes well under an hour. Trains run through the night, so a late arrival is not a problem; buses and taxis are the other options, and taxis cost the most. Watch the signage for the right platform and buy your ticket before you board, and if you are connecting onwards by rail, check whether your next train leaves from Schiphol or from Centraal.

Country facts: Wikidata

• Lublin Airport is the only airport serving the city, so make sure the departure point on your ticket is the one you want.
• With no direct flights, check how long the layover is and whether both legs sit on a single ticket or two separate ones.
• On a low-cost fare, add the cost of a checked bag and seat selection before you decide the ticket is cheaper.
• If you book the legs separately, remember that a missed connection is your problem, not the airline's, and leave a generous buffer.
• Check that your passport or ID card is valid for travel to the Netherlands and covers your whole trip.
• November is the cheapest month here, so if your dates are flexible, start there and compare it against March.
