Cheap Flights London to Sibiu

The most expensive stretch runs from midsummer through the December holidays, when demand for Romanian connections peaks. From late winter the fares slide, and March is the cheapest month, making it the sweet spot for a spring trip.

Connecting flights on Austrian, Lufthansa, Iberia, Air Dolomiti, and Eurowings typically route through their European hubs, which adds a transfer and usually a longer travel day. Direct options come from Wizz Air Malta, Wizz Air UK, and Easyjet, and these low-cost carriers keep the base fare low but often charge extra for hold baggage, so check what the ticket includes.

Sibiu airport is compact, so you will not spend long on the jet bridge or waiting for bags. It sits close to the city, and the ride into the centre takes minutes by taxi or public bus. Watch for the old town's cobbled streets if you are walking with luggage.

• Carry a valid passport for Romania, since you are travelling from outside the Schengen area.
• Confirm which London airport your ticket names, since the city has five and they are far apart.
• If you fly with Wizz or Easyjet, add hold luggage at booking or pack light.
• For connecting fares on separate tickets, allow generous time between flights.
• Check the price calendar for March, the cheapest month, before you commit.
