Cheap flights from London to Londonderry

The destination experiences shorter days during winter months, which coincides with lower prices throughout the colder season. February tends to offer cheaper fares compared to other times when demand rises around school holidays and festive periods. Booking several weeks ahead usually secures better rates than last-minute purchases on this domestic route.

Loganair Limited, Aer Lingus, British Airways, and BA CityFlyer operate as full-service carriers on this connection with varying fare structures. Easyjet provides the low-cost alternative with basic tickets where extra services cost additional fees. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines may appear in search results but typically routes through Amsterdam rather than offering direct service to Eglinton.

Eglinton airport serves a smaller regional operation, meaning shorter security queues and quicker baggage collection compared to major hubs. The facility sits approximately fifteen minutes from Londonderry's city centre by car or taxi. Shuttle buses run on limited schedules, so timing your arrival with connecting transport requires checking departure times in advance.

• Verify whether you need a passport or simply an identity card for travel within the United Kingdom between these locations.
• Confirm if your chosen airline includes checked baggage in the base fare when comparing prices across carriers.
• Ensure both flight segments appear on one reservation rather than separate bookings to protect against delays and missed connections.
• Check baggage allowances carefully since low-cost tickets exclude checked bags unless you pay extra at checkout.
• Review whether your departure airport is Heathrow, Gatwick, or another London location as some airlines operate from specific terminals only.
