Cheap flights from London to Chongqing

Look at the weeks either side of November before you lock in dates, since the shoulder period around the low month can still save money. November is the month to aim for when price matters most. Fares usually rise around school holidays, Christmas and the summer travel season, and midweek departures are often cheaper than weekend ones. Check the monthly price view for your exact dates.

Several Chinese carriers fly this route: Tianjin Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Air China, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines. European and Middle Eastern options include Finnair, Qatar Airways, Austrian and Aer Lingus. Direct flights are available on some services, while others connect, so check the number of stops, baggage allowance and arrival airport before you book.

You land at Chongqing airport, which sits outside the city centre rather than next to it. The usual ways into town are metro, airport bus or taxi, and the ride takes longer at busy times. Check which terminal your flight uses and allow time to reach your hotel after landing.
