Cheap flights from Lanzarote to Madrid

Book early for weekends, school holidays and the December holiday period, because the cheapest seats usually sell first and prices can move as departure approaches. November is the cheapest month in the price data, and flights outside those peak periods are often calmer, with midweek departures giving more choice; high summer usually needs earlier planning.

Some itineraries are nonstop, but not every fare is direct; a connecting option adds another leg and a transfer, so compare total travel time and whether the whole journey is on one ticket. The route is served by Ryanair, Air Europa, Iberia Express, Binter Canarias, Iberia, APG Airlines, Vueling Airlines, Air Europa express, Easyjet and Volotea, and their fare rules differ widely: check baggage, seat selection, boarding, changes and whether a missed connection is protected before you pay.

Getting into central Madrid from Barajas usually means choosing between metro, train, bus or taxi, and the airport sits outside the city centre, so plan the transfer before you land and allow time for baggage reclaim. Barajas is a large airport, so the first hour can involve walking between terminals, queues at reclaim and a ride into town; if you have a hotel or onward connection, check which terminal you arrive at and how that changes the route.
