Cheap flights from Krakow to Yogyakarta

April is the cheapest month on this route, and the price calendar also covers September, October, November, December and May, so those are the months worth comparing side by side. European summer holidays push fares out of Krakow up, which is why late spring and autumn usually look calmer. On the Indonesian side, the busy weeks around Ramadan and Lebaran fill the domestic legs into Yogyakarta, and the wet season in Java can affect plans late in the year. Flying midweek from Balice tends to cost less than a weekend departure, and booking a few months ahead gives you a better choice of connections than leaving it late.

Every airline on this route sells a connecting ticket, so the difference is where you change and what the fare covers. LOT Polish Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines and Turkish Airlines are the full-service names, usually sold as one ticket for both legs. Fly Dubai is the low-cost-style option, so read the terms on bags and seats carefully. Lufthansa Cityline, Air Baltic, Helvetic Airways and Air Dolomiti turn up as operators on part of the trip, so check the cabin baggage allowance before you choose. Compare the total cost, not the headline fare.

Yogyakarta International is the airport you land at, and it sits well outside the city, so treat the transfer into town as part of the journey rather than a quick hop. The airport train is the most predictable way in, with shuttle buses and taxis or ride-hailing cars as the alternatives, and the road can be slow in the evening or during the wet season. You clear immigration on arrival, so have your address in Yogyakarta ready before you land.
