Cheap flights from Krakow to Wroclaw

December is the cheapest month on this route, and fares for it sit lower than at any other point in the year. Autumn and late winter price well too, with September, October, November, January and February all calmer than the spring and summer peaks. Tuesday and Wednesday departures usually cost less than Friday or Sunday ones, when people head home for the weekend. Christmas and New Year are the exception: demand jumps around both cities and connections fill early. Book a few weeks ahead for winter travel, and further out for summer.

No airline flies Krakow to Wroclaw nonstop, so you are choosing between a low-cost leg and a full-service one. Wizz Air is the budget option out of Balice, with a bare fare that leaves cabin and checked bags as extras. LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, Air France, HOP!, Scandinavian Airlines, Cityjet and Braathens Regional Aviation sell connecting itineraries, where a bag and a seat are usually part of the ticket. Check whether your connection is on one ticket or two, and that decides who rebooks you if a leg is delayed.

You land at Wroclaw's Strachowice airport, the city's only passenger gateway, set a short ride south-west of the old town. A city bus and a night bus link the terminal with the centre, and the ride takes roughly half an hour depending on traffic; taxis and ride-hailing cars wait outside arrivals and are quicker but cost more. Because your flight from Balice connects, build in slack: a late first leg means a missed second one, and the airport is small enough that you can move between gates quickly once you are there.
