Cheap flights from Krakow to Szymany

October is the cheapest month on this route, so if your dates are flexible, that is the one to aim for. The price calendar here runs from September through April, which means the autumn, winter and early spring weeks are the ones you can compare directly; for travel outside that window, look up fares separately. Christmas, New Year and the winter school break are the busiest stretches and the ones to book well ahead. For March and April, start watching the calendar early. Compare a midweek departure with a weekend one before you settle — the calendar shows both.

LOT Polish Airlines is the carrier on this route, and it flies between Balice and Mazury without a stop. LOT is a full-service airline rather than a low-cost one, so the fare works differently from a budget ticket: check what your particular fare includes, especially checked baggage and seat selection, before you pay. Because the route is direct, there is no connection to build into your plans when you book it as a single ticket. If you are adding other legs to the trip, keep them on the same booking where you can, so a delay on one part does not leave you stranded on the next.

You land at Mazury airport, which serves Szymany and the surrounding region rather than sitting in the middle of a city. Treat the last leg of the journey as part of the trip and decide how you will cover it before you fly. Taxis and pre-booked transfers are the usual ways in, and a hire car makes sense if you are heading further out. Check whether a bus or train runs at your arrival time instead of counting on one being there, and if you land late in the evening, arrange your transfer in advance.
