Cheap flights from Krakow to Skopje

October is the cheapest month on this route, and fares stay low through the quiet weeks of late autumn and winter. September and spring are busier, and the run up to summer, when July travel peaks, is when seats start to fill. Midweek departures usually cost less than weekend ones, so shifting your dates by a day or two can help. Watch school holidays in Poland and public holidays in Macedonia, since those weeks fill first.

There are no direct flights between Krakow and Skopje, so every itinerary includes a stop. Wizz Air, Wizz Air Malta, Norwegian and Pegasus sell the low-cost version: a basic ticket with a small cabin bag, and checked luggage, seat choice and food added on top. LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Austrian, Air Serbia and Air Dolomiti are the full-service carriers, where a checked bag and a meal are normally part of the fare and the connection is protected if the first leg runs late. Sun Express sits in between, with leisure schedules.

Flights land at Skopje airport, which sits outside the city, so plan on a road transfer rather than a walk. Most travellers take a taxi or arrange a pickup in advance, and it is worth agreeing the fare before you get in. The terminal is compact, so arrivals and baggage reclaim move quickly, though late-night landings leave fewer options for getting into town. On the way out, every departure from Krakow uses Balice, the city's only airport.
