Cheap flights from Krakow to Montreal

February is the cheapest month here, sitting in the quiet stretch after the winter holidays. Fares also hold steady through late autumn and early winter, then climb as summer comes — August is not among the months priced on this page, so build your trip around it if you can. Check the price calendar for your exact week: midweek departures and weekend returns rarely cost the same. Christmas, New Year and the Polish summer school break are the windows when seats on the connecting legs go first, so book earlier for those.

Nobody flies this route non-stop, so every option is a connecting itinerary. Easyjet is the low-cost name in the mix and usually sells a bare fare — cabin baggage only, with checked bags and seat choice added on top. The full-service carriers — Lufthansa, British Airways, Air Canada, United Airlines, Austrian and Aegean Airlines — tend to bundle a checked bag into the longer fares and can rebook you when a leg runs late. Lufthansa Cityline, Cityjet and Nordic Regional Airlines mostly fly the shorter feeder segments, so one part of your ticket may carry their name and another a bigger carrier's. Read the baggage rules per segment.

You land at Montreal P Trudeau International, the city's main gateway, on the west side of the island. Downtown is a short drive in normal traffic and a slower one in the evening rush or during a snowstorm. Taxis and rideshares wait outside arrivals, and shuttle buses and public transit run into the centre. If you continue onward within Canada, leave extra time: you clear border formalities at Trudeau, and queues build when several long-haul arrivals land together. Winter weather is the usual cause of delays on the inbound leg, so watch your connection.

• Krakow is served by Balice alone, so confirm your ticket starts there and not from another Polish city.
• On Easyjet fares, add the cost of a checked bag and seat selection before you compare totals.
• If your connection is booked on separate tickets, the onward airline will not rebook you when the first leg runs late.
• Check that your passport and any Canadian entry authorisation are valid for your travel dates.
• Book early for the Christmas, New Year and summer school holiday windows, when connecting legs fill first.
• Look at the price calendar for February and the months around it before you fix your dates.
