Cheap flights from Krakow to Casablanca

December is the cheapest month on this route, and the price calendar shows fares for September, October, November, January, February, March, May, July and August, so you can see how the summer peak compares before you book. Summer and the school holidays push fares up, while late autumn and the weeks after New Year stay calmer. Midweek departures, Tuesday to Thursday, usually cost less than flying out on a Friday or at the weekend, and a longer layover often buys a lower fare. For winter trips a few weeks of lead time is enough; for July and August, book earlier, because the connecting legs fill up.

Nobody flies Krakow to Casablanca non-stop, so every option is a connection, and the airline you pick shapes the trip. Wizz Air and Easyjet are the low-cost names here: the fare covers a seat and a small cabin bag, while checked luggage, seat choice and food cost extra. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Air France, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Luxair, Air Dolomiti, HOP! and Saudi Arabian Airlines sell full-service tickets, where a checked bag and meals are usually included. Check whether your connection is on one ticket — a single ticket means the airline rebooks you if the first leg runs late.

Your flight lands at Mohammed V, the airport serving Casablanca and the main gateway for Morocco. It sits outside the city rather than in it, so plan a transfer: the train into the centre is the straightforward option, with taxis outside the terminal if you land late or travel with a lot of luggage. Allow extra time on the way back, since passport control and security at Mohammed V get busy in the early morning when several long-haul departures leave at once. Have your accommodation address written down to show a driver.

Country facts: Wikidata

• Krakow has a single airport, Balice, so make sure your ticket really departs from there and not from another city.
• Every flight on this route connects, so check which airport you change at and how much time you have between legs.
• On Wizz Air and Easyjet, add a checked bag to the fare before you compare it with a full-service ticket.
• If your legs are booked on separate tickets, you collect your bag and check in again, and a missed connection is on you.
• Check Morocco's entry rules for your passport and whether you need a visa before you fly.
• December is the cheapest month here, so price a winter trip before you settle on summer.
