Cheap flights from Krakow to Burgas

October is the cheapest month on this route, and the price calendar shows it clearly against the summer peak. September and November sit close behind, with quieter beaches and lower fares on either side of the season. July and August are when the coast fills up and tickets climb, so book those weeks early. March through June is a good stretch for mild weather and reasonable fares, and April and May suit anyone who wants to skip the crowds. Midweek departures usually cost less than weekend ones, and school holidays push prices up at both ends of the route. If your dates are flexible, start with the shoulder months.

Ryanair and Wizz Air are the low-cost carriers in the mix, and they are the ones to check first if you want a direct flight. Norwegian and Norwegian International sit in the same low-cost bracket. The full-service names, Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian, Luxair, Air Dolomiti and Eurowings, usually sell connections through their hubs, which means a longer day but a fare that covers more, such as a checked bag and a seat assignment. Low-cost tickets are built around a small cabin bag, so add whatever else you need before you compare totals. Fare rules change with the ticket type, so read them on the airline's own site.

Burgas Airport sits close to the city, so the transfer into the centre is short. Buses and taxis are the usual ways in, and plenty of travellers arrange a private transfer or a hotel shuttle before they land. The airport also serves the wider coastal region, so check how far your accommodation really is before you book a ride, since some resorts are a long drive up the coast. Take a taxi from the official rank, and agree the fare or make sure the meter is running. Summer arrivals get busy, so allow time for bags and for the queue at the rank. Landing late? Sort your transfer in advance rather than counting on a bus.
