Cheap flights from Katowice to Almaty

March is the cheapest month for this route in the fare data, and February and the autumn months — September, October, November and December — are the others with published prices, so there is room to compare outside the summer rush. May and July also appear in the price data. Midweek departures tend to cost less than weekend ones, and seats get tight around public holidays at either end, so book early if your dates are fixed. If your plans are flexible, watch the price calendar and let it choose the week for you.

The airlines selling this route include LOT Polish Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Air Dolomiti, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines and Hahn Air. Most are full-service carriers, so a checked bag and a meal normally come with the ticket, though the lightest fare families trim that back. Air Dolomiti is a regional operator and Hahn Air sells seats on partner aircraft, so on those tickets the name on your booking may not be the name on the plane. None of these is a bare-bones low-cost carrier, but the cheapest fare on a connecting itinerary is often the one with the shortest baggage allowance, so read what is included before you choose.

Almaty Intl Airport is the gateway for this route, and it sits a short ride from the centre rather than far out of town. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are the usual way in; agree the fare before you set off, because informal drivers still work the arrivals hall. Public buses run into town too if you would rather not take a car. The terminal is compact and easy to navigate, but passport control can be slow when several long-haul arrivals land together, so leave a buffer if someone is meeting you or you have an onward connection. It is worth changing a little local currency on arrival rather than counting on cards everywhere.
