Cheap flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Davao

Book as far ahead as you can for December and the holiday weeks, because flights around Christmas and New Year tighten on both ends. January is the cheapest month named for this route, and the shown fare months run from November through September. Weekday departures are usually easier to book than weekend ones, while school holiday periods can push up prices and reduce choice.

Every itinerary on this route connects, because no nonstop flights are listed. The carrier list spans low-cost and full-service names: Scoot, Cebu Pacific Air, Jetstar Pacific Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Eva Air, Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways Intl and China Airlines.

The low-cost names usually keep the base fare small and charge separately for bags, meals and seat choice, while the full-service names more often bundle a checked bag and an onboard meal. All routings connect somewhere depending on the carrier and date, so check the connection airport, layover length and whether both flights are on one ticket before you book.

Arriving late in the day can change the trip, because fewer transport options may remain once you land at Francisco Bangoy International. The airport sits outside Davao's central district, so most travellers use a taxi or ride-hail service into town and should allow time for traffic. Watch for a late arrival, a terminal change or a long wait for a car, and keep your onward accommodation details handy.
