Cheap flights from Heraklion to Munich

March tends to offer the lowest fares across this route, as demand settles after winter and before summer bookings pick up. The remaining months spread prices more evenly, with October through April often showing steadier rates while May through September see gradual increases toward peak travel periods. Weekday departures outside school holidays typically carry lighter loads than weekend slots or Christmas weeks.

The carriers splitting this route fall into two camps that affect your ticket quite differently. Easyjet, Norwegian and Sky Express run low-cost services where you pay for what you need — seats, baggage, even priority boarding add up separately. Aegean Airlines, Air Serbia, LOT Polish Airlines, TUIfly, Eurowings Discover, Condor and Air Baltic operate full-service models that bundle more into the base fare. Direct flights come from several of these operators while others route through their respective hubs before reaching Munich.

Munich International sits about twenty miles northeast of downtown where you can catch trains or buses straight into the city without navigating traffic. The S-Bahn lines and airport shuttles run regularly throughout the day, though evening arrivals may require a taxi if your connection timing doesn't align with public transport schedules.

• Confirm which passport requirements apply for entry into Germany before packing anything time-sensitive.
• Check whether your airline includes checked baggage in the base fare or charges extra at booking.
• Verify both departure and arrival airports match your plans when Heraklion has only one option but Munich could vary by carrier.
• Review connection policies if booking separate tickets on different airlines rather than a single itinerary.
• Consider how seasonal demand affects availability during peak travel periods versus quieter months.
