Cheap flights from Frankfurt to Warsaw

October is the cheapest month to fly this route, and the weeks around it — late September and November — usually stay reasonable too. Summer school holidays and the run-up to Christmas push fares up, as do the days around Easter and the long weekends in May. Midweek departures, especially Tuesday and Wednesday, tend to be quieter than Friday evenings and Sunday nights, when business travellers and weekenders fill the cabins. Book a few weeks ahead for summer and the holidays; for the rest of the year you can often leave it later and still find something sensible.

Warsaw has two airports. F. Chopin is the main one and sits close to the city centre, so a taxi, a rideshare or a city bus gets you into town quickly. Modlin is much further out and mostly handles low-cost traffic; from there you reach the centre by dedicated shuttle bus or by train from the nearby station, and the transfer takes a good while longer. Check which airport your ticket actually uses before you book a transfer, because the two sit on opposite sides of the city and mixing them up costs you an hour or more. Chopin also has a rail link towards the centre, which is handy if you land at a busy time.
