Cheap Flights From Edinburgh To Kefallinia

August rounds out the pricing window as the lowest-cost month to book this route, aligning with peak summer demand across the Mediterranean. Prices typically shift gradually as you move away from that mid-year peak, with fares available through April, May, June, July, September and October. You will usually find good value by booking well before the school holidays begin, since weekday departants outside the core summer months tend to carry more moderate base costs than weekend flights.

Easyjet operates the primary direct service on this route, keeping base fares low while charging extra for checked luggage and seat selection. Jet2 and United Airlines also appear in the schedule, with United typically offering a full-service experience that includes standard baggage allowances. You will need to verify whether each carrier flies you directly to Kefallinia or routes you through a mainland hub, since connection points and included amenities vary significantly between the budget operator and the legacy carriers.

You will touch down at Kefallinia airport, a compact facility located just outside the main settlement area. From the terminal, local taxis and pre-booked transfers wait outside to carry you toward the coast or into the hills depending on your hotel location. The drive usually takes only a few minutes under normal traffic conditions, leaving plenty of time to settle in before dinner. Keep in mind that public bus routes run less frequently after evening arrivals, so arranging your ground transport ahead of time will save you from waiting around the terminal curb.
