Cheap flights from Busan to Warsaw

January is the cheapest month to fly this route, and the months around it, from late autumn through early spring, usually price lower than the summer peak. July and August are the busy stretch, so if your dates are flexible, aim for the colder half of the year. Midweek departures tend to be quieter than Friday or Sunday ones. Watch Lunar New Year and Chuseok in Korea, when seats out of Busan fill early, and the Christmas and New Year weeks in Poland. Book a few months ahead for winter travel, and earlier still for summer.

No airline flies Busan to Warsaw non-stop, so every option here is a connecting one. VietJet Air and Hong Kong Express Airways are the low-cost carriers, which usually means a bare ticket: checked baggage, seat selection and meals cost extra, and connections may sit on separate tickets. Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Eva Air, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines are full-service, with baggage and meals included and connections protected. Full-service fares cost more but are easier when a delay would otherwise leave you stranded.

Warsaw has two airports, and which one you land at changes your arrival. F. Chopin sits close to the city, with a train and bus link into the centre and taxis at the door. Modlin is well outside Warsaw, so allow extra time: buses and shuttle services run to the centre and to the main station, but the transfer is a journey in its own right. Check your ticket before you arrange a transfer, since low-cost arrivals often use Modlin while full-service flights tend to use Chopin. Keep a payment card ready for the ride in, and check the last connection of the day if you land late.
