Cheap flights from Bilbao to Berlin

Christmas and New Year, the school holidays in both Spain and Germany, and Berlin's summer season all move demand on this route, so fares shift around those peaks instead of staying flat. December shows the lowest fares on the calendar, yet prices inside that month climb around the Christmas break, which makes the exact travel day matter. Midweek departures are usually cheaper than weekend ones, and booking ahead for the holiday peaks is where the savings usually appear.

The fare on a low-cost ticket usually covers the seat and a small cabin bag, with checked bags, seat selection and priority boarding charged as extras, while full-service tickets bundle more into the price up front. On this route the low-cost side is Wizz Air Malta, Vueling Airlines, Volotea, Easyjet, Eurowings and Eurowings Europe Malta; the full-service side is KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, TAP Portugal, Scandinavian Airlines and HOP!. Some of these fly direct between Bilbao and Berlin and others connect via their hubs, so check whether your chosen flight is non-stop and whether a connection is protected on one ticket.

You land at BrBrandenburg, which sits south-east of central Berlin, and the usual ways into town are the airport rail link, regional trains and buses, with taxis for door-to-door trips. Check which terminal your flight uses and how late the trains run if you land in the evening, and allow extra time if your journey is a connection rather than a direct flight.
