Cheap flights from Athens to Munich

Demand on this route rises with school holidays, Christmas markets and late-summer city breaks, while March is the cheapest month on this route. Midweek departures are usually quieter than weekend ones, and booking a few weeks ahead helps on peak dates. If you can be flexible, avoid late December and the busiest summer weeks, and compare nearby dates in the price calendar.

Some fares on this route include a checked bag, seat choice and flexibility, while low-cost and unbundled tickets charge extra for bags, seats and priority boarding. Easyjet and Vueling Airlines sit at the low-cost end, Aegean Airlines, Lufthansa, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines and Air Serbia are full-service carriers, and Sky Express, Pegasus and Hahn Air Systems can appear on connecting itineraries. Direct flights are available, but a cheaper fare may add a connection, so read the baggage and change rules for every segment.

Munich International is a large airport, so allow extra time for walking between gates and baggage reclaim, especially at busy hours. Trains, buses and taxis all run into the centre, and the rail link is usually the simplest route for most travellers. Check which terminal your flight uses and the last departure time for your chosen transfer before you land.
