Cheap flights from Aarhus to Katowice

Prices climb around Christmas and early January, then ease through March and April before bottoming out in May, the cheapest month. November also shows dated fares in the calendar, so an autumn week can beat the winter rush if you book ahead. Midweek departures are usually cheaper than weekend ones, and dates around the December holidays are priced higher. For the cheapest May dates, booking a few weeks ahead still helps; for December, book as soon as the calendar opens.

Ryanair is the low-cost carrier of the four and its headline fare covers the seat only, with cabin bags above the small personal item, checked bags and seat selection as paid extras. Scandinavian Airlines includes more in the base fare, such as a carry-on, but the exact baggage allowance still depends on the ticket type you choose. Braathens Regional Aviation and Cityjet complete the list, so compare their fare rules on baggage, change fees and whether any connection is on a single protected ticket before you pay.

Pyrzowice is a small airport, which means short walks from gate to exit and little time lost in queues, but it also means fewer late-evening services into town and limited choices if a flight is disrupted. The usual ways into Katowice are the scheduled airport bus, a taxi or ride-hail, or a pre-booked transfer, and the journey takes longer than from a city-centre field, so build in buffer time. Car rental desks sit in the terminal if you plan to drive across Silesia. Check which exit your flight uses before you land, since the bus stop is outside the terminal.
