Cheap flights from Almaty to Baku

December comes out cheapest in the dated fares for this route, and the calendar spans October to September, so you can compare a full year before choosing. Outside that low point, summer travel and winter holidays usually bring firmer prices, while shoulder months can leave more room to compare. Booking ahead for school-holiday dates helps, and checking nearby dates, including midweek, can open up cheaper options without changing your trip.

Some fares include checked baggage and a meal, while extras may be charged separately depending on the ticket; direct flights operate between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan on this route, and connecting itineraries are sold too, so compare connection time, baggage transfer and whether all segments are on one ticket. The airlines are Azerbaijan Airlines, Air Astana, Qatar Airways, Air Arabia, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, SalamAir, Jazeera Airways, SCAT JSC Aircompany, Centrum Air and Qanot Sharq. Read the fare rules for each carrier rather than judging by the headline price alone.

Heydar Aliyev International is a busy international gateway, so passport control, baggage reclaim and security can add time before you head into Baku. Taxis, buses and pre-booked transfers are the usual ways into the centre, and it is worth confirming how late your chosen option runs if you land in the evening. Plan your onward journey before landing, especially if you have a tight connection or luggage to manage.
