Velana International MLE
Velana International sits beside Male in the Maldives and handles the leisure traffic that brings most visitors to the islands, with popular routes onward to Vienna, Istanbul, Warsaw, Chisinau, Budapest, Milan, Frankfurt and Krakow, so cheap flights to Male are usually planned as part of a wider itinerary rather than a direct hop.

Getting to the city
Velana International sits close to Male, so the transfer is usually short, but island traffic and airport formalities can slow it down, and it is worth allowing extra time rather than cutting connections fine; taxis, buses and hotel transfers are the usual options, and you should avoid planning a tight onward departure on the same day unless your itinerary allows for delays.
