Nursultan Nazarbayev Int. Airport NQZ
Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport (NQZ) is Astana's international airport, and it is where most cheap flights from Astana begin for Chisinau, Warsaw, Istanbul, Prague, Antalya, Tbilisi, Baku and Batumi. Astana has no other airport listed for passenger flights, so NQZ is the practical choice for those destinations. Airlines set their own fare rules, and a cheaper ticket may not include a checked bag, seat selection or meals; check those details before you book.

Getting to the city
The fastest way into Astana is usually a taxi from the official rank; buses take longer but cost less. Agree the fare or use a metered car, allow a generous margin for traffic and queues, and avoid unofficial drivers who approach inside the terminal. Check current services before you travel, since routes and timetables can change.
