Hong Kong International HKG
Cheap flights from Hong Kong start at Hong Kong International, the city's only airport and the one every passenger flying in or out of the territory passes through. It is the gateway for the long-haul trips people plan from here, and the European cities that come up most often are Warsaw, Istanbul, Budapest, Chisinau, Vienna, Krakow, Milan and Frankfurt. Which airline you end up on depends on the day and the season, so compare the dated fares on this page before you book.

Getting to the city
Getting into the city from the airport is straightforward: a dedicated rail link, buses, taxis and ride-hailing all run from the terminal, and the rail option is the one to take when you are watching the clock. Buses take longer and stop closer to the neighbourhoods people stay in. Taxis wait outside arrivals and the queue can be long after a late landing. Allow extra time in the morning peak and around public holidays, and if you are connecting onward to another city, leave a buffer rather than cutting it fine.
