Gimpo International GMP
Flights from Gimpo International serve Seoul alongside Incheon International, the city's other airport, and it is worth checking both before you commit to a fare. Gimpo (GMP) is the airport people mean when they search for departures from the South Korean capital, and its route map reaches Budapest, Warsaw, London, Vienna, Paris, Istanbul, Vilnius and Chisinau. Schedules and fares on those routes move with the season, so compare a few dates before you book rather than taking the first result you see.

Getting to the city
Seoul has two airports, so check which one your ticket uses before you plan anything: Gimpo or Incheon International. They are separate, and a booking into one does not put you at the other. Allow a generous buffer for the trip between the airport and your accommodation, and more again at morning and evening rush, when roads around the capital slow down. Take the official taxi rank rather than a driver who approaches you in arrivals, and on the way home work backwards from your departure time.
