Elmas CAG
Cheap flights from Cagliari usually mean Elmas (CAG), the only airport serving the city, so there is no second airport to weigh up. It handles flights to Krakow, Budapest, Milan, Warsaw, Rome, Chisinau, Dusseldorf and Nuremberg, among others. Arrive and the first hours are straightforward because everything lands at the same place, but you still want to know how you will reach your hotel before you book, especially if your flight lands late or you are travelling with bags.

Getting to the city
The fastest way into Cagliari is usually the direct public-transport link, so check that first; a taxi can be simpler with luggage but may be slower in traffic. Check the last service into the city before you book, and do not rely on finding transport late at night. If you are meeting someone or renting a car, agree the pick-up point in advance and keep your phone charged.
