Congonhas CGH
Cheap flights from Sao Paulo Congonhas begin with one check: which airport your ticket actually names. Congonhas, coded CGH, serves Sao Paulo in Brazil alongside Guarulhos International and Viracopos, and the three are not interchangeable. The destinations people search most from here are Madrid, Paris, London, Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Warsaw and Istanbul. Fares to those cities move around by date, so scan the calendar, compare the airlines flying each route, and book the day that fits rather than the first price you see.

Getting to the city
Give yourself room on both ends. Traffic and queues are what decide whether a transfer into Sao Paulo is calm or a sprint, so build in a buffer instead of booking the tightest option. Confirm your airport code before you set off — Congonhas, Guarulhos International and Viracopos are separate airports, and arriving at the wrong one is the mistake worth avoiding. If you connect through the city, leave a generous gap between flights rather than hoping the roads behave.
