Finnair flights link a Nordic home base with cities across Europe, and the AY code turns up on itineraries that are not always obvious at first glance. You will find it on pairings such as Krakow to London and Warsaw to London, Chisinau to Prague, Krakow to Barcelona and Paris, and Antalya to Chisinau. Its scheduled map covers Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, the Netherlands and Norway, so many of these journeys mean one connection rather than a straight line.

We list the airline as highly rated, which in practice means a steady cabin standard and fewer of the compromises that turn up in the lower tiers of our rating.

Before booking, check who operates each leg, how long the connection is, and which airport code is on your ticket. Confirm what the fare includes: a cabin bag or a checked one, seat selection, and the rules on changes and refunds.
